Updates to the Garden 5-6 and 12-6

As this is my first year in the new garden, I am taking pictures to understand the progress of plants as this blog is my record....some of the pictures are not "newsworthy" but they are tiny glimpses of my struggle and achievement to mold this garden into my Eden :)

Bird Crazy!

I  thought I would share with you what I got for our house....it was for the front door in place of a normal gargoyle, but it proved a bit too heavy...so now it is in our garden!  As we have an amazon parrot, I thought it would signify a bit of our wild and crazy life :)

June is here!

My mind is racing on things to do with the garden....but I am trying to slow down and remember the basic principles...planting in drifts...not to many varieties so you can no appreciate the combination...the good thing is that I have lots of opportunity left...and wouldnt want to make all the decisions this year!  I am planning ahead regarding fall perennial planting... I am convinced I want a nigra sambucus, lavender for the front of the house, and raspberries for part of the fence! Oh, well...hopefully I will document my thoughts, before I change my mind!! :)
