I'm still getting used to the touchscreen on the iPad but slowly I'll adjust. I can't figure out how to add pictures to the blog so that will have to wait until I return from holiday....but I suppose I will have to be more creative and illustrate with my words...fancy that!
In a world of zip boom bam....perhaps I can entice you to the exotic world of perennial herbs with my words!
To be honest, lovage looks a bit like celery, and tastes like it too...although a bit stronger. It is quite nice and tall so nice in the back of an herb garden...it is the secret ingredient of Maggi seasoning that is revelled by german housewives...so now you know the rest of the story....I got a little worried this year (the second year) and was about to plant some seeds from seed...then realised that it is coming up again!
My difficulty with gardening is that I love to grow, but I am a miser...I don't utilise my plants like I should! I'm afraid to cut back....and I need to eat before the cold! This year I will eat more lovage! Maybe I will learn to make my own Maggi!
Anyway here are some recipes!
